I say go with the Sky. It’s the same car as the Pontiac Solstice, it’s just better looking. If you really want to have fun, go with the Sky Red Line. The Sky won’t handle quite as well as the Miata, but the Miata has the reputation as being a ***** car.

I’d look at the Scion dealership.
Scion is part of Toyota but geared toward the younger crowd. All the cars that Scion makes come with a lot of standard features such as keyless entry, power windows/locks, remote mirrors, defroster and other important things you will pay big bucks for as options elsewhere. Scions generally run under $20k. They are changing the line up so it’s definately worth looking into to see if there is something you might like. Gas mileage is also a big consideration and Scion does good there too. I know there are a few stand alone Scion dealerships, but most are with Toyota dealerships. We had a Scion tC and if they kept it more than a day or so they would give us a loaner, something most American car companies don’t do.
